TRUE ART DECO SUEDE STERLING SILVER MARCASITE CLUTCH PURSE BAG ANTIQUE HANDBAG
This gorgeous antique Art Deco clutch is in splendid condition. It is made of tender and supple black suede, adorned with a sterling silver and marcasite clasp and tab. It is truly a purse for dancing. It has a strap in the back. You slip your palm through it and hold on to your partner's shoulder.
It is lined in black silk satin. The center pouch is clasped, and there are two flat pockets, one on each side. The side pockets are trimmed in silver leather. It is extremely well made.
The suede is in good condition. There are no cuts and no damage. The black is not as intense as contemporary dyes; the color is closer to a highly dark espresso coffee. Please don't expect a contemporary, absolute black dye color.
This rare clutch measures 6" wide at the clasp and 8" wide at the bottom and has a maximum depth of 1.5".
It is in exceptional condition, considering it is likely from the 1920s, if not older.
